BIOGRAPHY

Katie was the second daughter born to a family of three girls. Middle-child syndrome is a real disease, and it affected her from an early age. Found-footage VHS tapes are proof: Katie was destined to be an actress.        

She made her stage debut in the second grade play of, "Sleeping Beauty," and was cast in the title role. She was grateful she didn't catch cooties from the prince, but instead, caught something much worse- the entertainment bug.

Katie was awarded performance scholarships in acting and voice in college. Katie's favorite role in college was one her enemies would say is perfect for her; the antagonistic Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's, "The Crucible." 

While in school, Katie reluctantly faced her fear of needles as she worked behind the scenes in Costumes and Wardrobe. Katie designed two main stage shows, her most prized being "Bright Lights, Big City" which is a controversial musical based in New York City's club scene, and was outfitted on a micro-budget (AKA, borrowing lingerie from her friends). 

During the summer of 2013, Katie earned the Best Actress award in the Greensboro 48 Hour Film Festival,

Most recently, Katie worked on several episodes of CW’s “Legacies.” Other notable credits include:  The Haunting of Hill House, Tyler Perry’s, Acrimony, Netflix's, House of Cards,  Lifetime's, Devious Maids,  and the independent horror feature, All Girls Weekend.

Katie also starred in the comedic webseries she created, "Maid to Order."  

She won the “Best Director” award for Women in TV & Film Atlanta’s Short Film Showcase for her film, “Deathless.”
